Earth In The Alley Design Studio is a labor of love by long-time floral designer, Caty Smits. Based in Eastpointe, Michigan, Earth in the Alley creates custom floral designs for weddings and special events all over southern Michigan. We specialize in modern and contemporary design styles, utilizing training and inspiration from some of the best designers all over the Midwest, striving to create quality floral designs at competitive prices. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and mastery of design. After four months of trying to work with a different vendor, I went with Caty and I am so happy I did. Caty was incredibly responsive and a pleasure to work with. Planning from afar she was also incredibly flexible with my schedule and also taking the time to meet with me when I was in town. In terms of the flowers, my wedding was not heavy on flowers but the bouquet and alter arrangements and corsages/bouts were just gorgeous! Using images from the internet and talking about seasonal flowers, Caty was able to translate what I liked into reality! Logistically, they were a dream for drop off the day of the wedding. My wedding coordinator had no issue and that is the best news anyone could wish to have!

We worked with Caty and right off the bat I knew she would create something great for us. She seemed to understand my vision right away, and she selected some really cool and unique accents to the boutonnieres and bouquets at our wedding. She was also very accommodating when I wanted to tack on a few more things along the way. I was absolutely in love with the arbor she created for our ceremony arch, and it looks stunning in the photos of our ceremony. Prices were also very reasonable!
